The New York State Division of Human Rights (“SDHR”) issued a “no probable cause” determination on a complaint filed on behalf of kindergarten student against a local school district. The Complaint alleged that the school district permitted student-on-student bullying because of the student’s mother’s marital status. Heather Dechert successfully represented the District against these allegations. The SDHR determined that there was no evidence to support a conclusion that the mother or student were unlawfully discriminated against based on marital status.
