Webster Szanyi LLP is pleased to announce that Charlie Roberts has joined the firm as a partner. Charlie has over 18 years of experience in litigation and general corporate counsel services. Most recently, Charlie served as Assistant General Counsel for Delaware North, a $3.0 billion privately held global leader in food and hospitality with 60,000 employees. For over twelve years, Charlie was responsible for managing Delaware North’s commercial, employment and general liability litigation, which included matters arising from operations in sports stadia, entertainment complexes, national and state parks, airports, and casinos. Through this unique experience, Charlie possesses a real-world appreciation for the impact litigation has on a company, no matter how large or small.
In addition to litigation, Charlie was responsible for maintaining an effective corporate compliance program at Delaware North, providing general labor and employment counseling, and supporting the external affairs and corporate security departments. At other times during his tenure, Charlie’s responsibilities included providing general corporate counsel and transactional services to the company’s Sportservice and Parks & Resorts divisions, as well as its operations in Boston (TD Garden and Boston Bruins). Prior to joining Delaware North, Charlie was an associate attorney with Webster Szanyi, and he has also worked for the Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bisons.
