Mr. Berard has been a practicing attorney in Niagara Falls, NY for 25 years, specializing in public education law and human resource issues. In addition to his private law practice, he served as Assistant School District Attorney for the Niagara Falls City School District. He currently is an Adjunct Professor at Niagara University in the areas of labor law and contract negotiations and was an Adjunct Professor at Canisius College in the areas of contract and sports law from 1997-2005. In 1999, Bill combined his lifelong passion for sports, his law degree and his experience as Senior Trainer for McGrath Training, Inc., into a rare specialty - Athletic Liability Training. He was a key player on the team that developed McGrath's training programs and materials on this subject as well as sexual harassment, bullying and risk management. Bill is a Level 3 Certified USA Hockey Coach and coaches a variety of youth sports programs year round. He resides in Youngstown, NY with his wife Cindy and their four children.
