Mr. Doyle has represented employers in labor relations, contract negotiations, arbitration proceedings, improper labor practice allegations, employment discrimination litigation, disciplinary actions and safety and health matters, including any related trial practice. His specific litigation experience includes actions to stay or vacate arbitration, defense of employment discrimination, arbitration, disciplinary proceedings, and administrative hearings. Mr. Doyle has represented employers’ interests in various administrative agencies including the New York State Public Employment Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the New York State Division of Human Rights, the Public Employee Safety and Health Bureau, and the Occupational Safety and Health Agency. Prior to his employment at Webster Szanyi LLP, Mr. Doyle served as Second Assistant County Attorney/ Director of Labor Relations for the County of Erie, handling all labor matters involving, at that time, the county’s 8 unions and 8,000 employees. Mr. Doyle also served as a Chief in the Erie County Sheriff’s Office, where he performed the dual roles of human resource director and chief financial officer. Mr. Doyle has extensive experience in all aspects of labor grievances/arbitrations, negotiations, hearings, policy and procedure formation and compliance, employee leave, discipline and General Municipal Law § 207(c) benefits administration and termination. Mr. Doyle has served as a hearing officer in numerous cases with a variety of employers.
